This is an interesting animation that depicts a current theory on prion proteins and how Mad Cow Disease affects the neurons in a cow's brain.

  1. I just found out that there are such things as genetic CJD(human form of madcow diesase), where people inherit from their infected parents and are tested positive on the disease, and certain time in their later life they the disease might act up and cause them to have the same symptoms of mad cow diesease, and end up having a coma and death... Its very depressing if you found out that you are tested positive ...

  2. That means calves may inherit mad cow disease by their parents too :( What are the symptoms for mad cow disease? will the infected cow really go round and round in the same area?

  3. haha , not actually like that, they will start to do random things, like attack people, or have random temperament, then they start to lose the ability of doing normal things like standing up and walking straight, then then will start to go in to coma , and death eventually
